It’s troubling to see how society seems to have developed a cognitive distortion where the
perpetrator is often given the benefit of the doubt. This phenomenon appears more prevalent than ever, and it’s causing significant harm.
For quite some time now, the truth seems to have been overshadowed by lies and the malevolent agendas of big tech and politicians. Their grooming and manipulative strategies are confusing the vulnerable, angering the informed, and gaslighting the rest of the population.
How did we get here? It may be the relentless barrage of media messages telling us that we are bad, guilty, toxic, and should feel ashamed.
This manipulation creates a cycle of trauma, stigma, and betrayal, leading to a sense of powerlessness. Cancel culture exacerbates this by publicly shaming individuals, who are then abandoned by colleagues, employers, and authorities.
Are they deliberately trying to isolate us and make us feel powerless? When will we wake up to the harm that cancel culture and the manipulation by our governments and media has inflicted on our society?
Thankfully, it’s not too late. We can still put this proverbial genie back in the bottle. But how?
Our abusers want us to feel powerless because they fear accountability. We don’t need to physically fight back – we are better than that. We need to overcome our sense of powerlessness and develop our survival strategies.
Here’s a message for everyone feeling overwhelmed:
You are not toxic.
You are not guilty.
You are not powerless.
You have nothing to be ashamed of.
Take back your power and continue to mentally fight the good fight. By staying informed, building supportive communities, and fostering resilience, we can reclaim our sense of agency and drive positive change in our society. Keep mentally fighting these injustices and remember that you are stronger than the forces trying to bring you down. And united we stand.
