Sleep to dream .... 8 Tips for a good night's sleep
Do you struggle to get a good night's sleep?
Poor sleep can affect up to 1 in 3 people.
It can have a huge impact on your physical and mental health.
So, how do you know when you are getting enough sleep? And how much do you need?

On average we need to have between 6 - 9 hours of good quality sleep each night.
Tips for getting a good night's sleep

Set a regular bedtime routine. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day.
A warm bath before bed perhaps using Lavender bath oil.
Avoid caffeine especially later in the day. You could try Chamomile Tea, Horlicks or Ovaltine as an alternative.
Reduce worry and stress - use the breathing technique below.
Make sure that your room is dark and cool.
Avoid using smart phones/screens an hour before bedtime.
Listen to a sleep hypnosis track or relaxing music.
Do 20 minutes of relaxing Yin Yoga with Yoga Nidra.
7-11 breathing
Breathe in through the nose for a count of 7 breathe out through the nose for a count of 11 repeat for a few rounds or until relaxed. If 7 -11 is too long for you try 4-7.
